About Me:
Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Jacob Apollos and I currently teach 7th grade science and biology (enriched 8th grade) at PCMS. This fall I will be starting my seventh year as a middle school teacher and my third season as our PCMS boys soccer coach. I started my teaching career in Rushville, IN. where I taught for two years as an 8th grade science teacher and club sponsor. I moved back to Plainfield in the fall of 2011 while I worked on my M.S. in school administration.
I am a former graduate of Plainfield High School (class of 2005) and even attended the middle school during 7th and 8th grade. After high school I attended Indiana State University where I majored in science education (biology and chemistry). I have been nominated for Plainfield Community School Corporation Teacher of the Year twice in my four years here, and have won for the middle school once (2014-2015). I am currently a licensed administrator and am always looking for more ways to get involved with the school and my kids.
I love to be outdoors, to read, and to work with kids. Teaching is a passion of mine and I enjoy meeting and getting to know all the kids that come through my door. I may only have them for one/two school years, but they will always be my kids and I look forward to watching them grow into the adults I know they can be.
I pride myself in being one of the most reachable and approachable teachers in our school, so please feel free to e-mail me at anytime!
